Belagavi, December 13, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “The BJP is planning to implement the anti-conversion bill with a vested interest,” opined leader of the opposition Siddaramaiah.
The State Government is planning to present the anti-conversion bill in the winter session to be held at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi from today. In his response to this former Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah expressed his ire upon the BJP led State Government stating that there is vested interest behind this. “There was no need to introduce this bill at all. The BJP is doing all this only to gain publicity. They are targeting one particular community and want to exploit it. However, we will oppose it in the assembly,” he explained.
“The Government won’t respond to the people’s problems. The state has witnessed three times excess rainfall this year, and people are facing problems from it. But the government is not doing anything about it,” he alleged.
