Mysuru, March 22, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The major objective of the New National Education Policy is bringing radical changes in the educational system,” opined Dr. S.C. Sharma, Director, National Evaluation and Accreditation Council.
He participated in the 102nd Convocation of the University of Mysore, held at the Crawford Hall, in Mysuru today. In his address, he said, “the objective of NEP is providing value-based education to the children of this country and instilling real human qualities among them. Inspiring students to develop intellectual dimension is the major objective.”
“Establishing plurality, equality and brotherhood are the salient features of the new National Education Policy-2020. Along with constitutional values, it includes arts, literature, music, sports, etc. I also am Ph.D. holder from the University of Mysore. I have come here as an alumni, not as a chief guest,” he said.
Governor of Karnataka Sri Thawar Chand Gehlot and University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar were present.
