ಮೈಸೂರು, ನವೆಂಬರ್ ೨೧, ೨೦೨೧ (www.justkannada.in): ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಬಹುದಿನಗಳ ಕನಸು ಇದೀಗ ನನಸಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆರಂಭಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಮತಿ ದೊರೆತ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಇದೀಗ ಈ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಪ್ರವೇಶಾತಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸಹ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಮೈಸೂರು ಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುವರ್ಣವಕಾಶ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ-೨೦೨೦ ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇರುವಂತಹ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಯನಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಸಲು, ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಕಾಗ್ರತೆ ವಹಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಡೆ ಗಮನಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವೂ ಸಹ ಎನ್ಇಪಿ-೨೦೨೦ರ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂತರ್ಶಿಸ್ತುಬದ್ಧ ಮಿಶ್ರ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾಚಾಲಿತ ಕೋರ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಹಾಲಿ ಬೋಧಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಹೊಸ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದೆ. ‘ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ‘ ಫ್ಯಾಕಲ್ಟಿ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪೈಕಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವ-ಹಣಕಾಸು ಯೋಜನೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಮೊದಲ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ (All India Council of Technical Education), ನವ ದೆಹಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ಕೆಳಕಂಡ ಐದು ಕೋರ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಮೋದಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

೧) ಕೆಇಎ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಶೇ.೫೦ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು @ ರೂ ೫೦,೮೦೮ ಶುಲ್ಕದೊಂದಿಗೆ
೨) ಪ್ರತಿ ಕೋರ್ಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಶೇ.೫೦ ಸೀಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಯಂ ಹಣಕಾಸು ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸೀಟುಗಳಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು – ರೂ. ೧,೫೫,೦೦೦ ಶುಲ್ಕದೊಂದಿಗೆ.

ENGLISH SUMMARY :
The National Education Policy – 2020 is focusing mainly to propagate, concentrate and introduce multi-disciplinary studies in the Universities across the country. The University of Mysore is also falling on the same lines of the Government of Karnataka to implement the NEP-2020. With this backdrop and scope the University of Mysore has initiated to offer a blend of various inter disciplinary industry driven courses in engineering stream. The university has created new Faculty of Engineering as approved in the academic and the syndicate along with the existing faculty. Mysore University School of Engineering will be the first integral institute among the faculty of engineering under fully self-financing scheme.
The below five courses are Approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) New Delhi and Government of Karnataka.
a) Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) – 60 Seats
b) Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS) – – 60 Seats
c) Civil Environmental Engineering (CEE) – – 60 Seats
d) Computer science and Design (CS & D) – – 60 Seats
e) Biomedical and Robotic Engineering (BM & RE) – – 60 Seats
Each Course intake is fixed with 60 seats as recommended by the AICTE.
1) 50 percent Seats for all the branches will be filled by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority ) @ Rs. 58,808 fees Structure
2) Remaining 50 percent seats in each course will be filled as Self Finance Seats @ Rs. 1,55,000/-
