ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜೂ.04, 2020 : (www.justkannada.in news) ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಿಹಿ ಸುದ್ದಿ. ‘ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ‘ ನ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕ 2020 ವರ್ಲ್ಡ್ ರ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಪಡೆದ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಏಕೈಕ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಎಂಬ ಕೀರ್ತಿಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ 1000 ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ 35 ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿವೆ. ಈ ಪೈಕಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು 1000+ ನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ರಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ವಿಶೇಷ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು 2018ರ ಸಾಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ 1000+ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಅಗ್ರಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ 35 ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು 1000 ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿವೆ.
ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು 92 ದೇಶಗಳ 1400 ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕವು ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಉನ್ನತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿದ 13 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷಮತೆ ಸೂಚಕಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ಬೋಧನೆ, ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ, ಜ್ಞಾನ ವರ್ಗಾವಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಸೂಚಕಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ಜೀವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ 25.4 ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ 601+ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಭೌತಿಕ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿ 801+ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವನ್ನು ಇಂಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲೂ 601+ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇಂಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥಯು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿರುವ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಗುರಿಗಳ (ಎಸ್‌ಡಿಜಿ) ಮಾಪನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಅಸಮಾನತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು, ಶಾಂತಿ-ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಬಲವಾದ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ಗುರಿಗಳ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮ, ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ 17 ಪ್ರಭಾವ ಸೂಚಕಗಳನ್ನು ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲು ಬಳಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 85 ದೇಶಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ 767 ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಇಂಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಶ್ರೇಯಾಂಕಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೌಲ್ಯಮಾಪನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ನಾಲ್ವಡಿ ಅವರ ಜಯಂತಿ ದಿನದಂದೇ ಈ ಶುಭ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂತಸವಾಗಿದೆ. ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಇಂಥ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಪೂರಕವಾಗುವ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನಡೆಸುವೆ ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಆಶ್ವಾಸನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

MYSORE : The world ranking of higher education institutes from the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 has been announced. The University of Mysore has ranked in the category of 1000+. Since the year 2018, the University of Mysore has retained the position of 1000+ category. The University of Mysore is the only state university in Karnataka to find a place in world rank list. Only 35 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have found a place within 1000 ranks in India.
The international ranking of the Times Higher Education (THE) covers more than 1400 universities across 92 countries. The ranking is based on 13 performance indicators developed by the Times Higher Education. The indicators are used to ascertain the universities’ ability in teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and international outlook.
The subject ranking shows that the University of Mysore is in 601+ ranking in life science with 25.4 citations and 801+ ranking in physical sciences among 1054 Universities across the world. The University of Mysore is placed at 601+ ranking under Impact Ranking category. The universities are assessed against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under Impact Ranking. 17 impact indicators like reducing inequalities, peace-justice and strong institution, partnership for the goals, good health, and well-being, quality education, etc., are used for the performance measure. 767 universities from 85 countries were assessed under
this.
