Bengaluru: The collaboration between India and Israel in the semiconductor manufacturing sector can lead India to grow on par with China and Taiwan in the sector, Kishor Ramisetty, Vice President & MD, Vertical Solutions and Service Group, Intel, said on Wednesday.
Participating in a session on ‘Semiconductor Roadmap for India and Israel- Industry Perspective’ at the BTS-2021, he told, owing to the union government’s encouraging policy semiconductor designing, development and manufacturing have been flourishing for the last five years.
Speaking on the occasion Erez Liberman from Israel was of the opinion that the cooperation between India and Israel needs massive ground support, seeking strong business partners besides commitment for huge investment in the sector by the private players.
He further told, “There is a dire need of strong technology partners who can be engaged to design and develop powerful semiconductors in India. Massive Indian technocrats who are employed overseas can be seen working back in India by way of reverse brain drain.”
Participating virtually in the discussion Kobi of Israel stated that Indo-Israeli cooperation needs a strong sense, connect and innovation with complete end-to-end support like excellent IT platform and 5G support in order to enhance collaboration.
Participating in the panel discussion, Indian technocrat Vivek Tyagi narrated the idea beyond panel discussion. The event was moderated by tech expert Joseph Abraham who emphasized an elaborate blueprint to enhance collaboration.
