Bengaluru, July 30, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Tumakuru University today conferred the honorary doctorate to Yadugiri Yatiraja Narayana Jeeyar Swamiji of the Yadugiri Yatiraja Math.
A special program was held at the Chowdaiah Bhavan in Tumakuru, where the Hon’ble Governor of Karnataka Sri Thawar Chand Gehlot conferred the honorary doctorate. Higher Education Minister Dr. C.N. Ashwathnarayana was present.
In his address, Dr. Ashwathnarayan said, “Yatiraja Math seer is a follower of Sri Ramanujacharya and his principles. He believes in Vasudaiva Kutumbakam and the protector of Sanatana Dharma.”
“The Swamiji is striving to establish universal unity and ethical awareness. Swamijis behavior and words has given a new social dimension,” he observed.
“Pujya Swamiji has adopted the school at Tonduru, under the Ramanuja Integrated Rural Development Program. Apart from contributing computers to the school, he is leading the society towards quality education and social empowerment,” he added.
Vice-Chancellor Venkateshwarulu, Registrar Nirmal Raju and others were present.
