Bengaluru, June 14, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Following a decrease in the number of Corona cases in the State, the government has started lifting the lockdown in phases. As a result, the first phase of unlocking has been started in 19 districts of the state including Bengaluru. However, the lockdown has been continued till June 21 in the remaining 11 districts.
A sea of vehicles was seen on many roads in the capital city Bengaluru, especially on the toll roads. Traffic jam was reported at several places as thousands of vehicles were seen entering the city today from the early morning.
Thousands of labourers and employees who had vacated Bengaluru following the imposing of lockdown have started returning to the capital city resulting in an increase in movement of vehicles and people in busy areas like majestic, railway station, Yeshwanthpur railway station, etc. Traffic jam was seen on Hosur road, Bengaluru-Tumakuru road, Mysuru road, Jaalahalli, Peenya, R.R. Nagar, etc.
Permission has been given for the movement of autos, cabs, and factories, including garment industries as part of the unlock.
