Mysuru, Jan. 28, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Journals titled Prabhudda Karnataka,” and “Manavika Karnataka” and “Vignana Karnataka,” published by the University of Mysore have completed 100 years respectively. It is a special occasion for the Kannada journals. The University of Mysore is committed to celebrating its success,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor.
Presiding over a programme conducted by the Department of Broadcasting, the University of Mysore on Thursday, he explained that these journals that are being published under the guidance of Vidwan Prof. Venkatachalasastry have completed 100, and 50 years respectively. I have informed Prof. Talawar to prepare an action plan for its celebration and submit it soon, he said.
“A conference will be conducted as part of the celebration along with exhibition and sale of books published by various Universities across the state. Teaching, Research, Publishing, and Administration are the pillars of the progress of a University. All these Departments in our university are performing well. The progress of the University of Mysore is satisfactory compared to other universities in the state,” he added.
