Mysuru, December 28, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The University of Mysore has earned ‘Advanced Research Center’ status for its exceptional contribution in the field of Reproductive, Biology, and Genetics.
Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, inaugurated the three-day national conference on the topic, “Reproduction and Endocrinology,” organized by the Genetics and Genomics Department, held at the Vignana Bhavana, in Manasagangotri campus today.
He informed that the University has earned ‘Advanced Research Center,’ status in recognition of its contributions in the field of biology. “The University of Mysore has achieved excellence in, comparable research in various fields. The Genetics and Genomics Department has provided a platform for research and scientific discussions. Earlier it was under the Zoology department and now has become independent,” he said.
He wished the three-day conference would provide a platform for many useful scientific discussions benefitting the students and inculcating interest in undertaking higher research. He observed that more researches should happen in the field of science and it should benefit society.

Prof. Suresh Yenugu, Vice-President, SRBCE, Prof. Michale Aruldas, Secretary, and Prof. Suttur S. Malini, Program Coordinator were present.
