Mysuru, May1 6, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, has responded to MP Srinivas Prasad’s appeal to provide place to establish the Buddha Peetha in the University of Mysore campus.
MP Srinivas Prasad addressed the gathering at a special lecture program on the topic, “Buddha’s Thoughts for the Contemporary World,’ organized by the University of Mysore, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Research and Extension Center, in association with the ‘Samaanate-Swabhimana-Swavalambne Prathistana (Regd.),’ on the occasion of the 2566 Buddha Purnima.
“There are all research centers in the University of Mysore. Hence, I wish it will also establish the Buddha Peetha. It is already one year since I have been appealing to provide place to establish the Buddha Peetha,” he said. Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, who responded to Srinivas Parasad’s appeal assured that a suitable place would be provided soon.
Dr. Kalyanasiri Bhanteji of the Vishwamaitri Buddha Vihar, Dr. S. Narendrakumar and Prf. C. Basavaraju of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Center were present.
