Mysuru, Jan. 16, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar today suggested the students involve more in NSS activities and perform their duties effectively.
He inaugurated the ‘National Youth Week and NSS Award Programme 2019-20’ organised by the National Service Scheme, University of Mysore, in Manasa Gangotri campus today.
In his address to the students, he said, “NSS cadets of various colleges in Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, and Chamarajanagara dared to work as corona warriors during Corona lockdown period, which is very noticeable and appreciable. Though the activities of NSS in the Colleges that come under our University did not happen properly due to the pandemic, they have been conducted through offline and online as per the guidelines of the Govt. of India and Govt. of Karnataka.”
He also recalled the contribution, services, and achievements of Swami Vivekananda towards the development of society.
