ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್,12,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಇತಿಹಾಸವಿರುವ ವಿದುರಾಶ್ವತ್ಥವನ್ನು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ಮರಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ವಿದುರಾಶ್ವತ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದ ಅಮೃತ ಮಹೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲ ವಿ.ಆರ್.ವಾಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ವಿದುರಾಶ್ವತ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ 1938 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವಜಾರೋಹಣ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರು ಗುಂಡಿನ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರರು ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಾದರು. ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ವಿದುರ ಬಂದು ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥಕಟ್ಟೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು ಎಂಬ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಇದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಗಪೂಜೆ ಕೂಡ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ತಾಣವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸ್ಮರಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸಮಿತಿಯು ಡಿಪಿಆರ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 15-16 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಖರ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕೋರಿದರು.
ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಪಡೆದು 75 ವರ್ಷವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಾಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತನೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವಾದ ವಿದುರಾಶ್ವತ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ 5 ಟಿಎಂಸಿಯನ್ನು ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಪಡೆದರೆ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೋಲಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬಹುದು. ನಮ್ಮ ನದಿ ಮೂಲಗಳಿಂದ ಆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೀರು ನೀಡಬಹುದು. ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜು ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮುಂದಿನ ವರ್ಷದ ಜೂನ್ ಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಬಜೆಟ್ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬ ಅಪನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಗಾತ್ರದ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಮಂಡಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ವರ್ಗದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಹಿಳಾ ಅಸಮಾನತೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿಸಲು, ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ದಿನದಂದು ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ ಬಜೆಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಂದಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟ, ಎತ್ತಿನೆಹೊಳೆ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

The historical freedom movement site Vidurashwatha should be developed as International Memorial, said Health and Medical Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar who is also the district in-charge minister of Chikkaballapura.
Governor Vajubhai Vala and CM BS Yediyurappa inaugurated the Amrut Mahotsav celebrations at Vidurashwatha to mark the 75 years of Indian Independence.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Sudhakar said that several freedom fighters were martyred in at this historic site in Vidurashwatha when Britishers fired bullets on them while hoisting the flag. There is also religious significance to this place as it is believed that Vidura of Mahabharata planted the pious peepal tree here. It is also famous for Nagaradhane.
Vidurashwatha has to be developed as an international monument given it’s historic and religious significance. A DPR is ready in this regard and the project will cost about ₹15-20 crore, said Minister and urged the CM for its implementation at the earliest.
The Amrut Mahotsav is being celebrated across the country to mark the 75 years of Indian Independence. The vision of PM Narendra Modi is to make it a people’s celebration and PM has urged everyone to participate in the celebrations through innovative ideas. Tributes are being paid to martyrs who sacrificed their lives during freedom movement. The Amrut Mahotsav at Vidurashwatha is also a tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
If 5 TMC of water from Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh is brought to state, Chikkaballapura and Kolar districts can be irrigated. This will help the farmers in the rainfed districts. We can mutually co-operate by sharing water with them. The government medical college in the district is being constructed and it will be start functioning by next year academic year.
It was believed that the size of this year’s state budget may be down sized due to the disruption caused by pandemic. However, CM BSY has ensured social justice by presenting a budget which is slightly larger in size than the previous year. The budget which was presented on international women’s day has lot of new initiatives and higher allocation for empowerment of women. Chikkaballpura district has also got it’s due through announcements on development of Nandi Hills and Yettinahole project, he added.
