Bengaluru, November 26, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Stealing of votes is a crime which is equal to that of printing fake currency notes. All those who are behind this scam should be penalised,” observed KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar.
Speaking in Bengaluru today, he said, “The Election Commission of India has accepted our appeal. Accordingly, three officers have been suspended. However, the officials have worked as per the instructions of the Chief Minister and Ministers concerned. Legal action should be initiated against the kingpins in this case,” he demanded.
“The voting list of 28 assembly constituencies in Bengaluru should be revised. Where did the money come from? Where did it go? A massive illegal activity has taken place in all the constituencies. I don’t know ‘Chilume’ organization. Now they are claiming it is not misused. How is it possible to happen without the notice of the Chief Minister of the State. Nobody has the power to appoint BLOs. Even it is appointed by the party, it requires the signatures the Tahasildar. If any illegal activity has taken place during our time, let them take action without any hesitation,” he said.
