Bengaluru, November 1, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai today informed that his government would implement the compulsory Kannada usage rule in the State after getting suggestions from all.
Reacting to MLA Rizwan Arshad’s allegations against the Union Govt. of imposing Hindi, the Chief Minister Bommai expressed his view that all the regional languages are also National languages. “Narendra Modi himself has told this. Therefore, Kannada is our mother tongue as well as national language,” he observed.
“The cabinet session will be held in December. We will make usage of Kannada compulsory. We already have tabled the Compulsory Kannada Usage bill. In the coming days usage of Kannada language will become legal. Our Government is shielding Kannada. Let there be discussions about the law. We will implement it after getting suggestions from all. Let a New Karnataka pave wave for creation of New India,” the CM said.
