Bengaluru, May 12, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Our state requires 6 crore doses of vaccination. We have demanded the Union Government to provide us three crores now,” said Ravikumar, Chief Secretary to the Government.
Speaking to the press persons today he informed that the government has not received the vaccine which was ordered in the 2nd week of April. “We are receiving vaccines from May 1 and we are providing it to people above 45 years of age. We are providing 15 lakh doses of vaccine every day. However, we are not giving it to new registrations. As of now, only 2nd dose is being given. It is not only Karnataka that is facing this crisis, but all other states are also facing this problem,” he explained.
