ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜುಲೈ 03, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಇಂದು ‘ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಮತ್ತು ಕೋವಿಡ್ 19’ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ವೆಬ್‌ನಾರ್ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವೆಬಿನಾರ್ ಗೆ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಗಳಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ವೆಬ್‌ನಾರ್‌ಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೂ ನೆರವಾಗಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಸಮಾಜದ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರೂ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಡಾ.ಬಸವನಗೌಡಪ್ಪ, ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಜೆನೆಟಿಕ್ಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಣಿಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎಸ್.ಮಾಲಿನಿ ಇತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

Mysuru, July 3, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Department of Zoology, University of Mysore, had organized a webinar on the topic, “Diabetes and COVID-19,” today, held at the Vignana Bhavana in the University of Mysore campus.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, expressed his view that especially the Department of Zoology, University of Mysore has been very actively conducting webinars which is in fact very helpful for the students as well as the researchers. “I hope this webinar would emerge with some solution towards managing the pandemic for the benefit of the society,” he said.
Dr. Basavanagowdappa, Prof. of Medicine and Principal of JSS Medical College, Mysuru, Prof. S. Malini, Prof. and Chairman of Zoology Department, Prof. Shamsundar, Zoology and Genetics Department, University of Mysore were present.
