ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ,ಸೆಪ್ಟಂಬರ್,9,2020(www.justkannada.in): ಕಾರವಾರ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತಾನ ಹರಣ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ವೇಳೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಬುಧವಾರ ಚಿಕ್ಕಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾ ಸಭೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಸಂತಾನಹರಣ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾ ವೇಳೆ 30 ವರ್ಷದ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುರಾದೃಷ್ಟಕರ. ಇದು ಸರ್ವೇ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಈ ವೇಳೆ ಸಾವು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿರುವುದು ಜನರ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತನಿಖೆಯಿಂದಷ್ಟೇ ಹೊರಬರಬೇಕು. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಗೆ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸುವಂತೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಪವಾಗಿ ವೈದ್ಯರ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದರೆ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಿರ್ದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮರಣೋತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ವರದಿ ಕೈಸೇರುವವರೆಗೂ ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೂ ಆಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದು. ಆದರೆ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಸಾವಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕನಿಕರವಿದೆ. ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನೆರವು ಸಿಗುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಇಂಥ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನಸ್ತೇಶಿಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಅಧಿಕವಾದಾಗ ಸಾವು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಪವಾಗಿದೆಯೇ ಎಂಬುದು ತನಿಖೆಯಿಂದಷ್ಟೇ ದೃಢವಾಗಬೇಕು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಆ ಸರ್ಜನ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಎಸ್‌ಪಿ ಎಫ್ಐಆರ್ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ., ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಎಫ್ಐಆರ್ ದಾಖಲಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ವೈದ್ಯ ಸಮೂಹ ಇದರಿಂದ ಗಾಬರಿ ಆಗುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education Dr K. Sudhakar said that instructions have been issued to the department secretary to conduct an investigation into the death of women during tubectomy surgery at Karwar District Hospital.
He was speaking to media persons after addressing a progress review meeting of Chikkaballapura district on Wednesday. He said that tubectomy surgery is a commonly done female sterilisation method and it is unfortunate that a 30-year-old woman has lost her life during the surgery. This has resulted in public outrage.
An investigation into this case will bring out the truth about the cause of death, the Minister said. He said that he has instructed the secretary of the Department In this direction. Strict measures will be taken against the doctor if the investigation reveals negligence on the part of their part during the surgery, he added. He requested not to accuse anyone until the postmortem report is obtained. Condoling the women’s death, he assured to hold a discussion about providing financial aid to the women’s family with Chief Minister Shri B. S. Yediyurappa.
Dr Sudhakar said that the deaths usually occur in such cases due to an increase in the dosage of anaesthesia. However, this can be probed only with a thorough investigation. He further said that he has received information that an FIR has been registered against the surgeon who conducted the tubectomy and added that FIR cannot be lodged in cases of medical negligence. He said that this should not be the cause for worry for the medical fraternity while adding that those responsible for the death will be published.
